  • Waiting time to take your driving test is now at 9.5 weeks (when we arrived it was 2 years!)
  • The usual Halloween violence and vandalism was down by 30% this year, due mostly to the heavy rain on the night; however, firemen called out to a Co. Kildare bonfire earlier in the week were still attacked with stones

  • 7,000 samurai swords have been confiscated in Dublin due to new restrictions on knives

  • There has been an alarming 42% increase in suicides compared to the same time last year
